Tell us about an album or artist you think is really under-appreciated, and why they are deserving of more praise:
I don’t know if he’s under-appreciated, but Aaron Embry is fantastic. It’s pure talent, words, music, feel. It’s dark and light, with such beautiful colours in his songs. Listen to this piano-driven version of his album track, No Go.

Lemme check… Christmas Card From a Hooker In Minneapolis (Tom Waits)

Most cherished musical object:
Grandfather’s Acoustic Guitar, some old Harmony from the 60s

Anyone that would have me, really.

Your favourite use of a song in a film:
Great question.. The last one I remember was “Sweet Thing” from Astral Weeks in The Five-Year Engagement?

I love Casa in Montreal. It’s the loveliest space, the perfect size for an intimate show. You can try things out, it’s always a good night it seems like..

I have a dream that involves a small boat. I’ll tell you about it sometime.

First band t-shirt you ever purchased from a merch table:
“The London Apartments”, from Zaphod’s.

Band you’d leave your bandmates for:
Tricky question, cause I could never leave my band. But The Band, in any shape or form, would take the cake.

I’m not sure that’s a good idea.

Books and tears. Books and tears.

I wish I were kidding. But I was trying to figure out the chords to a song I listened to a few weeks ago, with the guy who wrote it kinda eggin’ me on.
