I like to think of independence as the action of one deliberately abandoning comfort for exploring the unknown. Blue Hawaii duo Raph and Agor have done just that by dividing – conducting strong currents of introspection – and shedding past positions with their latest album titled, ‘Untogether’. Their collection is self-propelled by a strong intuitive vibe that travels through a cool spatial atmosphere. The two individually recorded then blended a phonetic-potion, fit for hijacking your train of thought.
Disjointed tracks such as Follow, In Two and Sierra Lift offer quite a ride – beats break while vocals articulately stam-stam-stammer. They’ll shake your caboose and have you discovering you have a hankering for asymmetry. The sound of Yours To Keep, Reaction II and The Other Day will sedate any bad trip; they’re wired that way.
